Welcome to Integrated Behavioral Health

At Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), our mission is to provide high quality, patient centered behavioral health services to meet the needs of individuals and families in Alabama and Southern Tennessee. IBH offers a variety of integrated mental and behavioral health services including outpatient and inpatient services, as well as onsite psychiatric services in long-term care facilities. IBH services consist of psychiatric assessments and evaluations, medication management, individual and family counseling, treatment planning, and disease education.

IBH began in August of 2013 as a small behavioral health outpatient clinic in Ardmore, Tennessee. Our Founder, Dr. Sanjay Malhotra, noticed a need for comprehensive, personalized behavioral health care. While there were other psychiatric practices in the area, IBH grew quickly because of our distinctive approach to behavioral health.

Through holistic evaluations of biological, environmental, and/or psychological causes, our caring providers can assess the unique symptoms of each patient. As part of our distinctive, integrative model, we focus on the total mental wellness of our patients to treat mental illness. At IBH, we understand that no two patients are alike. Therefore, we are committed to providing personalized solutions for the betterment of you.

In the past 10 years, IBH has expanded our high quality care throughout the state of Alabama. With over 160 long-term care facilities and hospitals and 9 clinics statewide, IBH is easily accessible to anyone seeking treatment.

At our long and short term care facilities, IBH provides unmatched service. We ensure that you or your loved one will have regular, face to face interaction with a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, and therapist. IBH provides equally comprehensive care at our 9 Alabama psychiatry clinic locations, serving over 3300 patients a week.

Adult & Senior Psychiatry

Aging is a natural process that often triggers the onset of mental health issues. Dementia and other similar disorders are common in the elderly. However, they can effectively be treated and improved with the use of medication and mental exercises.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Adolescence is perhaps the most crucial and important time in a person’s life. This is the period when our beliefs, morals, and most importantly, our attitudes toward ourselves develop. Through family therapy and adolescent psychiatry, we can provide appropriate mental health treatment for your child.

Therapy

Managing mental health does not have to mean suffering in silence. Our team provides compassionate care & clinical excellence to patients of all ages, no matter their struggles.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

TMS is a noninvasive form of brain stimulation designed for those with Major Depressive Disorder. Candidates for this treatment have tried other methods of alleviating their depression without success. It is an incredibly safe outpatient procedure proven to effectively treat depression. Talk to an IBH provider to discover if TMS is a viable treatment option for you.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy designed to treat and alleviate symptoms related to traumatic memories. This allows patients to tackle emotionally disturbing life experiences in a healthy way. Speak to an IBH provider to begin your healing journey today.

Medication Management

Medication is a viable option for the treatment of many mental illnesses, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. However, the effects of these medications vary among individuals. IBH uses logical, diagnoses driven medication management, in addition to psycho therapy, if it is deemed appropriate by a provider. At IBH, our healthcare providers will carefully prescribe medications and monitor use to ensure the desired outcome and maintain your safety.
